Terms of Service

Scope of Work

At Expansion Zone, we offer a range of services, including Branding, Content Strategy, and Website Design.

very project begins with a clear Scope of Work, which is signed off by you before we start, ensuring we’re all aligned on the goals and expectations.

If the project scope needs to change or expand during the process, we’re more than happy to accommodate. Any additional work outside the original scope will require a new quote.

Payment Terms

Deposit: We require a 50% deposit to get started on any project. This deposit is non-refundable.

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion of individual components or the entire project, whichever comes first, before we hand over the final deliverables.

Payments are due as per the invoice details and should be made promptly.

We believe in fairness—late payments will incur a 5% fee for every week the payment is delayed.

Client Responsibilities

You’re responsible for providing all necessary materials as agreed upon for the project.

Timely delivery of these materials is crucial to staying on schedule. Delays in providing materials may impact the project timeline and final deliverables.

Revisions and Edits

We believe in collaboration! During the build phase, we’ll work closely with you to review, adjust, and refine the project. Larger edits should be made during this phase to ensure everything flows smoothly and stays on track.

The project includes two rounds of final reviews: one before launch and one after. These reviews are for fine-tuning and confirming the final details.

If you request significant changes outside the initial scope, we may need to adjust the pricing and timeline.

Refund & Return Policy

Services: Since all projects are customised to your specific needs, we do not offer refunds once work has begun. Before we start any project, we’ll ensure we’ve agreed on the details in the Scope of Work to provide clarity on what’s included. If you have any questions or need clarification, don’t hesitate to reach out before moving forward.

Project Adjustments: If at any point during the project you feel that we’re not a good fit or that the direction isn’t aligned with your vision, please let us know. We are happy to discuss adjustments and ensure you’re comfortable with the path forward. If you choose not to continue working with us, the work completed up until that point will be considered part of the project, and future payments may still be due as outlined in your payment terms.

Lapsed Services: We understand that life happens! If you’ve paid for a service but have not provided the necessary materials, changed your mind, or are unable to commit the resources (like materials or funds) to complete the project, we cannot offer a refund. We will place your project on hold for a period of no longer than 12 months. After this time, if the project has not been resumed, a new project will need to be initiated, and any outstanding fees may apply.

Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you will own the final deliverables. However, Expansion Zone retains the right to feature the work in our portfolio and marketing materials, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

All images, graphics, website copy, and trademarks created by Expansion Zone remain our property, unless otherwise specified in the agreement.

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep all sensitive information confidential and not to disclose any details without prior written consent, except as required by law.

Termination

Either you or we can end the agreement at any time, with written notice provided via email.

If you decide to cancel, the deposit will be non-refundable, and you’ll still need to pay for work completed up to that point.

We reserve the right to terminate the agreement for non-payment or breach of these terms.

Dispute Resolution

If any disputes arise, we’ll try to work things out together through open communication. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, we’ll consider mediation before moving to any legal action.

This Agreement is governed by the laws of South Africa.

Amendments

We may update these terms from time to time, and we’ll let you know about any significant changes. You’ll always have the most up-to-date version available here.

Entire Agreement 
This document represents the full and final understanding between us. Any changes or amendments must be agreed upon in writing.
